Why are you called ‘Rent A Date For Charity’ if you are not a registered charity?

Rent A Date For Charity is an independently run business with a difference as we are a professionally run business with philanthropic aims. It is our primary mission is to raise £1 million, which will be distributed to brain tumour charities to promote awareness of the condition of brain cancer.
Rent A Date For Charity (RAD4C) is exactly what it says on the TIN. We are an auction dating website where the proceeds of the auction go to charity. |

| When you say you are working in collaboration with brainstrust what does this mean? | |
|
Brainstrust supports patients at the point of diagnosis but is also looking beyond this point to improve the treatment, care and outcomes of all patients who are diagnosed with brain cancer.
Through Lisa’s own personal experience she values the importance of the work Brainstrust carries out and so that is why we feel that collaborating with them is so important and means through the Rent A Date For Charity Campaign we can help raise the vital funds and awareness to help people diagnosed with brain cancer. | How much of my money is actually going to charity? | |
|
60% of the proceeds from the auctions will go directly to brainstrust. brainstrust will hold these funds in a separate ring fenced account until such time there is enough to distribute amongst the registered brain cancer charities. ALL of the 60% donated by RAD4C will go to charity. There will be no further reductions from any of the charities we donate to. These funds will go straight to the cause and not towards salaries or admin costs.

| How accurate is your total figure raised and how do you come to this figure? | |
|
60% of the proceeds received through the auctions will go directly to brainstrust at the end of each month. We aim to keep this figure as up to date as possible.
The total raised figure displayed on our webpage’s are from funds raised through RAD4C however may this figure also includes individual fundraisers totals for those fundraising on behalf of RAD4C. |

| Out of the 60% donation to brainstrust what amount actually goes to charities? | |
|
The FULL 60% donated to brainstrust will be donated to charity. There will not be any additional admin costs taken from this sum.
In the statutory accounts of brainstrust, both the income raised and the funds held will be included in “restricted income funds”, that is funds that are not generally available for the work of brainstrust as controlled by its trustees. |

| How do other brain cancer charities benefit? | |
|
brainstrust and RAD4C will apply funds raised as directed by RAD4Cs authorised representative(s) and brainstrust’s Board of Trustees by making grants to other brain cancer charities. It is Lisa Connell’s intention to supply as many of the worldwide brain cancer charities with the necessary funding for their cause. Therefore by registering a brain cancer/tumour charity with us they will automatically be granted funds at the discretion of brainstrust and its board of trustees and director Lisa Connell’s final decision.

| Your total raised figure does not appear to be moving up and auctions have been won. Where has this money gone? | |
|
Proceeds from the auctions will be paid directly to brainstrust’s PayPal account upon receipt.
Until such time where there is enough funding to distribute between the brain cancer charities these funds will remain in brainstrust’s the ring fenced account for RAD4C. Brainstrust will provide Lisa Connell or any such authorised person the total figure raised at the end of each month where the total figure raised will be updated. |

| Where is the other 40% going? | |
|
40% of funds raised by RAD4C will be retained to cover RAD4C’s administration costs, which is a standard percentage maintained by charities. Up until recently only 15% was being retained by RAD4C which was nowhere near enough to cover running costs.

| How can I find out how much has been raised for the designated charity? | |
|
RAD4C will keep the amounts raised on every webpage as a Total Raised figure. You can also find the individual amounts raised for each charity under the Charities page under each sub charity section as well as on their own individual sites.

| Why am I being asked to pay a subscription fee? | |
|
At present due to the re-launch and for a limited time only our subscription fee is FREE. However this is due to change shortly. Normal cost for becoming a member wil be £5.00 which will allow access to our auctions, prize draws and much more. You will be notified both on the main website and on the registration form should this change take effect.

| I want to raise money for a charity that is not on your registered charities list how do I go about this? | |
|
RAD4C are working hard to bring all brain cancer related charities together. Whilst we appreciate that there are few charities listed as registered charities with our site we are doing our utmost to introduce our site to all brain cancer related charities. If you have a charity in mind and wish to donate to them throughout site we ask you to send us an email with full details of your charity selection and we will add them to our list to contact. In turn you too can invite charities to our auctions by referring them to us.

| I don’t want to subscribe as a member but I want to donate some money to the cause and/or an individual charity registered with you. How do I go about doing this? | |
|
By making a donation to our cause and/or one of the individual charities registered with us you will be helping towards the much needed funding for brain tumour charities. Providing you donate through our site this money will go towards Lisa Connell’s £1million target! To donate to an individual registered charity please go to their designated charity page and click donate on the justgiving widget provided.
If you wish to donate to brainstrust/RAD4C you may do so by clicking on the Donate Now button featured on every page. These funds will then be placed in the ring fenced account for distribution amongst grants received via our registered charities. |

I want to donate to brainstrust/RAD4C how much of this will actually go towards RAD4C’s campaign?

By donating through our Donate Now button on our site you will be donating 40% to RAD4C’s campaign less tax.

| Is there a minimum age you have to be to join? | |
| Yes. You must be 18+ to join the site. | |
| I want to help promote RAD4C how do I go about this? | |
|
We welcome those wishing to help promote our site. Please send an email to PR@rentadateforcharity.com with details of how you wish to become involved.

| You have a celebrity on your home page as coming soon. How and when will I know when this auction will start? | |
|
RAD4C will send notification by email to all those registered to our newsletters on our site prior to the auction taking place. Please ensure you register with us and select the required newsletter options to be included.

| Why do I have to register to enter the prize draws? | |
|
RAD4C will notify the winner of each prize draw by email. If you have not received an email from us this is because you have not won.
Alternatively you can check our Prize Draw page to view the winner’s gallery if you have won your name will be displayed here. |

| How do I know when a prize draw is ending? | |
|
You will need to visit our prize draw page which can only be accessed if logged in. If the prize draw is still live the end date will be shown on the individual prize draw display.

| I won a prize but I still have not received it? | |
|
All our prize draw donations are given to us by outside sources. When a prize draw is won your details are forwarded to the prize draw donator to send out. Please allow up to 31 days for this.

I want to register but do I have to participate immediately once I become a member?
|
|
|
Anyone can register with us. You do not have to auction anything or bid on anything if you don’t want to. Obviously we would like people to join in on the dating services to help raise money for the causes but this is not essential. You may simply register to keep up to date via our newsletters or to see what is going on in the world of RAD4C.

| I only want to register to enter the prize draws is this possible? | |

| How long does an auction last? | |
|
Each auction is unique. Listings can last anything from 1 day to 1 month. Please check each individual listing for details.
|

| Why are some of the gallery pages not including details of the dates which the celebrities have been on? | |
|
Once we have a confirmed auction for a celebrity a gallery page will be uploaded to our website with details about this celebrity. We will only provide details about the date once the date has gone ahead. These dates can be anytime in the future as per the celebrities instructions.

| I have just tried to register and my registration has been declined? | |
|
RAD4C reserves the right to decline to register you as a member at its sole discretion. RAD4C’s decision to accept an individual registration is final.
|

| Who is responsible for arranging the date? | |
|
RAD4C’s registration process will help you to allocate a suitable venue, date and time before the actual date proceeds. Therefore no further arrangements need be made after this time.
|

| I have a question for the candidate. How can I make contact with them before the auction ends? | |
|
Unfortunately this is not something we offer at RAD4C. You will need to ensure you are happy with the details provided on the listing before making your BID.
|
|
| What happens if the winning bidder does not honour the BID? | |
|
Non-payment will result in the seller’s auction being re-run and the buyers privileges will be terminated or suspended permanently.
|
|
| What happens if I win the bid but no longer wish to participate in the date? | |
|
Once you have made a bid. You can not withdraw it. You are committed to making your payment even if you are unable to go on the date with the candidate.
|
|

What happens if the date I have bid and paid for does not attend the date?
|
|
|
It is obviously important for us at Rent A Date For Charity that anyone who has either put themselves up for Auction or who has bid and won an Auction, honours that commitment by attending the date arranged.
If the reason for a no-show is due to a matter out of your control then of course we hope you are able to re-arrange the date at a convenient time. However if the matter is purely due to a change of heart or a non show and the bidder wishes to seek information about a refund we request that you contact us directly. Please note that Rent A Date for Charity is raising funds for brain tumour charities and so if it is necessary to make any refunds we are taking away important funds from our charities. Therefore we do ask that if you do wish to Auction yourself for a date or wish to bid on a date that you do fulfil your commitment to this process. |

| Do I have to pay even if I have not won the date? | |
|
If you are the winner and you have placed more than one bid in the auction you will only be expected to pay for the amount of the winning bid.
|

| Is there a reserve bid amount for the person going up for auction? | |
| Yes. There is a minimum of £5.00 reserve on each auction. There is a reserve for Celebrity Candidates will vary depending on the individual celebrities’ requirements. |

| How do I find out if I have won? | |
|
If you are the winning bidder RAD4C will notify you by email straight after the auction ends. Alternatively you can login to your account and view “My Account” setting for more details.

| Who is responsible for the costs of travel to and from the date? | |
|
Both the buyer and the seller are responsible for their own costs associated with travelling to and from the date.
|

|
When RAD4C say that the bidder is reasonable for all reasonable costs associated with the date what is reasonable?
|
|
|
RAD4C has no jurisdiction with regards to the costs of the date.
RAD4C will give both the buyer and the seller options throughout the registration process to choose which venue’s they would prefer to meet at and locations. All venues listed will be high street venues and part of restaurant and coffee shop chains. |

| I have won a date with a celebrity. Will photographers or press be present? | |
|
Yes. At the discretion of the celebrity. However please note that the celebrities will be in this auction to help with the publicity and awareness of the designated charities.
|

| What details on my profile will be visible to others? | |
|
Only your basic information will be listed in your profile. By Basic we mean: Username, sex, body type, hair, eyes, height, age group, what you are seeking, occupation and your location. |
|
| I no longer wish to be a member. Can I pass on my membership to a third party? | |
|
Your membership is assigned to you and may not be assigned to any other third party.
|
|
| How do I cancel my membership? | |
|
To cancel your membership please email support@rentadateforcharity.com with your request. Your details will then be removed. Please note if you have any listings active at the time of cancellation you will need to complete these before your membership can be cancelled.

| Why am I not receiving Emails from RAD4C? | |
|
It is possible that either your e-mail inbox was full at the time, or if you have a spam filter maybe the mail did get through but was blocked/deleted by the spam software

| I have just become a member of RAD4C but I have not received my password? | |
|
When you complete your registration you will automatically receive a welcome e-mail from us with your log in details, members e-mail providers like Hotmail, Yahoo and others can place our e-mail to the junk e-mail box or block us as spam mail, so please check your email account.
To keep RAD4C e-mail in your Hotmail Inbox and out of your Hotmail Bulk folder: 1) Add www.rentadateforcharity.com to your Address Book. 2) DO NOT click “Report Spam” for any email from RAD4C. 3) Remove www.rentadateforcharity.com from your Bulk folder by clicking NOT JUNK If all else fails then please email support@rentadateforcharity.com |

| How do I make any changes on my profile? | |
|
You can change your profile details at any time by going to your account.
If however you already have a listing placed you will only be able to edit the description and statistics within your profile providing no bids have taken place. Once a bid has been placed you will not be able to amend any statistics. |

| How do I change my photo? | |
|
As long as you’re listing has not received any bids you may delete and replace your existing photo with no extra charge. Any additional photos may be chargeable. To do this please log in to your account and go to My Account, currently listings then edit.

| How long does it take to get my listing approved? | |
|
Your profile is automatically approved. However our team here at RAD4C will be checking each profile upon completion and may at their sole discretion terminate your listing should your listing be unsuitable.
|
|
| Why was my listing declined? | |
|
Your images may be too large. If this is the case the system will automatically notify you when uploading. We may decline your listing for other reasons which are highlighted within the terms & conditions. Photos must only contain images of you and show no nudity. If your profile is declined a second time and you feel that there was nothing wrong with it, please contact us for a further explanation. RAD4C reserves the right to decline with no explanation.

| I can't seem to find many compatible members, why is that? | |
|
The site is constantly growing and changing, and new members do appear all the time. As it grows, we are able to spend more and more on advertising, thus bringing in even more new members. If there's no-one on the site that you want to bid on or date right now, we feel sure that you'll find new people online soon, so do keep trying!
Please keep in mind that you may list yourselves as many times as you like within the auctions FREE of charge. You only pay for extra features such as extra photos or bold/featured listings. |

| How do I know where the candidate up for auction is willing to travel to when going on our date? | |
|
Under the profile details of the candidate their location will be visible along with distance willing to travel. This should give you a good indication as to where the candidate is willing to travel to. In some instances the location of the date will have already been picked out by the candidate through our automated system. In which case the venue, time and date will be displayed within the users profile.

| What if the candidate I wish to bid on does not cover my area? | |
|
The candidate will specify the area they live and distance willing to travel on their profile. If your area is not covered within this distance you should not participate in that auction/date unless you would be willing to travel.

| How can I advertise on your site? | |
|
If you wish to advertise on the site please email sales@rentadateforfcharity.com with your request and we will get back to you with our current rates.

| I would like to arrange an Event for RAD4C how do I go about arranging this? | |
|
Simply register your details online through the online registration process. If you wish to hold a fundraising event where funds from this event go to RAD4C you may advertise your venue and/or fundraiser on our website FREE of charge. Use the upload event feature within your registered profile and follow the online instructions. | How do I pay? Is it secure? | |
|
All payments are secure and made on-line. RAD4C currently uses PayPal to process payments. For more information regarding PayPal and their security visit www.paypal.co.uk

PayPal offers a FREE service to sign up and use. However if you do not wish to sign up to PayPal’s service you may pay with a credit or debit card by following their onscreen instructions.
