My niece has a tumour in and around her brain stem, its innoperable, she is 22 years old. No one knows how long it will be before it compromises her life support systems, but her consultant always looks amazed that as yet she shows no more symptoms than usual. These include head aches, odd taste in mouth, balance problems....her blase attitude blows me away. I wish she had someone in the same boat to talk to, she is so alone in this.
