JULY 2008 - Lisa Undergone Treatment

On the 1st July 2008 Lisa attended the London Gamma Knife Centre to have radiotherapy. Lisa was admitted overnight and is now home. The prognosis was good it’s only a matter of time now for her to wait to see if her treatment was successful or not. The radiologist hopes that the tumour will now be under control however they will not know for certain until 12-18 months time and she will not be given the all clear for up to 5 years time. Lisa's recovery has been slow and she is suffering badly from headaches however we wish her a speedy recover. See Lisa's BLOG for more details.

ELLE Magazine last month featured Lisa Connell with amazing pictures and reviews on her story of living and coping with a brain tumour.

MAY 2008 - Lisa in search of Treatment

Recently Lisa's tumour has started growing again meaning that she will need some sort of treatment in the next few months.

Because of the lack of funding in the UK many of the newer forms of therapy are not available in this country. Lisa and her family are talking to Doctors all over the world trying to find someone who can help her.

If Lisa has to travel out of the EU she will probably have to finance the treatment herself..
